Your Appointments
Please wear comfortable clothes, NOT baggy. Shorts or leggings and a sportsbra or swim top underneath layers work well so i can easily see your spine, knees, and feet. I will record you standing and gently moving, including walking. We will work barefoot, looking for areas of imbalance, restriction, or dysfunction, and use gentle movements that exaggerate the body positions that occur during normal walking gait.
You will be given a personalized course of movement homework to do for a few minutes each day. Over the course of your follow up visits I will check your progress and adjust your movement homework accordingly to achieve effective maximal pain relief and return to full function. I typically give you detailed instructions including videos as needed to demonstrate desired technique.
Wedges
We will use wedges under your feet in your evaluation and treatment exercises. Wedges provide necessary support and stimulation to improve flexibility and skeletal alignment throughout the rest of our body.
Vivian Houng
The body has an innate ability to heal and recover once we relieve damaging stressors, and provide proper support and nurturing.
