Slight changes in joint alignment can persist after an injury, or develop with posture habits. Like car tires out of alignment, this can lead to uneven wear and premature damage and pain. Your body’s attempt to compensate can also lead to changed movement patterns that cause problems to develop in NEW areas possibly years later. For example, an old ankle or knee injury can “heal” with an imperceptible loss of range of motion, that over time leads to strain of your hip or shoulder on the same, or OPPOSITE side of the body!

I will carefully examine your posture and gait using gentle positions and movements based on an exaggeration of normal walking to find problem areas. We can then begin to unwind them and return you to the neutral and natural alignment that allows you to heal and prevent continued injury and pain.
